Colourwork Sampler Blanket
Are you ready for a riot of colour? The Colourwork Sampler Blanket is the perfect pattern to show off your colourwork knitting skills. In the pattern, you get the instructions for eight different colourwork square designs. I’m using 80 different colours for the sample, and it’s so fun to see how the design looks different in each colour combination!
Get the pattern in my Ravelry store or right here on my website. After purchasing you can instantly download the pattern in either English or Dutch, and the pattern PDF includes the tutorial video links.

For the entire blanket you will need 800 grams of fingering weight sockyarn for the squares, and 60 grams for the border. Please note yarn usage varies depending on your gauge while knitting.
Which colours will you choose for your blanket? You need at least 2 colours, but the sky is the limit! For the sample shown in the pictures I am using the Scheepjes Metropolis colour pack which contains a whopping 80 different colours in tiny 10 gram balls, so cute! If you have any yarn minis or yarn scraps in your stash, this is a great pattern to use them up. With a set of 2 x 10 gram minis, you can knit a set of 2 squares with the colours reversed.

Yarn details:
Scheepjes Metropolis (75% Extra Fine Merino Wool, 25% Nylon; 200m/50 grams).
This yarn is my absolute favourite as it is such a great all-round yarn. Soft enough for garments, durable enough for socks! Would you rather use full sized skeins than the colour pack? Find some great retailers (affiliate link) via the links below.
Colour combinations
Do you have trouble choosing colour combinations? With so many colours available, it can get quite overwhelming! If you need help pairing Scheepjes Metropolis colours, the pattern comes with a list of colour pairings as well so you can knit the same combinations I did for my blanket. This way, you don’t have to worry about if the pattern has enough contrast.
