Neater edges

Are the sides of your cushion a little bumpy? Or perhaps one side is a little neater, but one side is holey and lumpy? Don’t worry, because I’ve got some advice for you! First of all, the edges of my work look bumpy too, it’s totally normal and most of it will be smoothed out during blocking. Aside from that, I have three extra tips for you to neaten up your edges. This is especially handy if you’re knitting along with the Scheepjes KAL 2022, where we are knitting a pair of colourwork cushions. At the spot where you go from one side to the other, there can be some puckering of the fabric. Watch my video below for the three tips.

Nette randen

Zijn de zijkanten van je kleurwerk wat hobbelig? Is één rand netter dan de andere? Krijg je grote gaten waar je nieuwe kleuren aanhecht? Geen paniek, want ik heb wat tips voor je. Ten eerste is het helemaal normaal dat je randen bobbelig zijn, dat waren mijn kussens ook voordat ik ze blockte (natmaken en plat leggen). In de onderstaande video heb ik nog drie tips voor je zodat je nettere randen kunt maken. Dit is vooral handig als je meebreit met de Scheepjes KAL 2022, waarbij we twee kleurwerk kussens maken. De kussens hebben een voor- en achterkant, en op de overgangen tussen de kanten kan het lastig zijn je werk netjes te houden. In deze video geef ik je drie tips!
