Last weekend I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited to the Scheepjes Bloggers Days again! Scheepjes organises this once every year, and every time us bloggers get insanely spoilt!

The whole year I look forward to this event, maybe even more than my own vacation! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE spending time with my other half more than anything, but being in an environment of people who 100% understand why you love what you do, being so inspired by one another, and getting to play with new yarns… I bet you can understand why I look forward to this event all year 😉

I took some short video clips which I put together in the vlog below, please go on over and have a look for yourself!

Bloggers Days is always filled with loads of new information for us. Not only the first scoops on new yarn (there are some beautiful new yarns coming!!!), but also fun and educational workshops. On Friday, Kirsten (from Haak Maar Raak) gave us a workshop on how to work with Adobe Illustrator, which is a wonderful programme with which you can make professional crochet and knit charts. I was very grateful that Kirsten taught us this course, since I would probably not have succeeded in figuring it out on my own. Sometimes you just need a helping hand, and that was definitely the case this time. Thanks Kirsten!

On Saturday, the wonderful José Dammers – who is famous for her freeform crochet portraits of celebrities – came and gave us a freeform crochet workshop, which was totally fabulous! I have loads of video footage of this workshop I put into the vlog above, so be sure to watch it if you’re curious!

I had an amazing time and I’m still coping with extreme withdrawal symptoms 😉 I miss all of the other bloggers so much, it really feels like family. And not to mention the ‘wool-halla’ we got to visit once more.. Luckily I have a big box of new and upcoming yarns to play with, teehee! I’ll be showing you more when the yarns are launched, I’m sure you will love them too!!

A massive thanks to Scheepjes for making us feel like the luckiest ladies in the world, and lots of love for my blogger sisters!

Until next time!
x Carmen
