Jippie, YARN ligt in de winkels! En nee, het is geen nieuw garen, maar een nieuw magazine van Scheepjes. En ik moet zeggen, ik vind het helemaal geweldig! 

Een tijd geleden vroeg mijn contactpersoon bij Scheepjes of ik het leuk zou vinden een octopus-patroon voor hun te ontwerpen. Natuurlijk vond ik dat leuk! Ze zeiden me nog niet waar het voor gebruikt zou worden, tot een paar weken geleden. Op de Bloggers Dag werd het grote project aan mij en de andere bloggers onthuld, dat onze commissies waren gebundeld in een prachtig tijdschrift. Een boek, eigenlijk! We waren verrukt met de foto’s en konden niet wachten het te vertellen… Dat was nog heel lastig! Maar nu mag ik eindelijk foto’s laten zien en jullie wat meer vertellen.

Time for a new YARN! No it’s not really yarn, but a new magazine by Scheepjes! And I have to say, I’m totally smitten with it. 

A while ago my contact at Scheepjes asked me if I’d like to design an octopus pattern for them. Sure, I said, without knowing what they would use it for. I didn’t ask, they did’t tell. Until a few weeks ago at Blogger’s Day, they reveiled to me and the other bloggers that all of our designs they had been secretly commissioning over the past time would be bundled into this great new magazine. We were all stunned by the amazing pictures and couldn’t wait to tell you! And now we finally can 🙂

Als het goed is, is het vanaf de 1e week van mei beschikbaar in de winkels. Ik ben heel benieuwd wat jullie ervan vinden! Het zal twee keer per jaar uitkomen, steeds dus weer met een nieuw thema. Ik ben zo trots dat ik mocht ontwerpen voor de eerste uitgave! Mijn favoriete projecten uit het boek zijn de mooie mohair-alpaca shawl van Bernadette en het dekentje van Atty. It should be available in shops from the first week of May. I’m so excited to hear what you guys think! It’s going to be published twice a year, each time with a new theme. I’m so proud I had the opportunity to design for the first issue. My fave projects are the beautiful mohair-alpaca shawl from Bernadette and Atty‘s blanket.
