This shawl is a very easy lace pattern, as it is just 1 row of lace, and the wrong side rows are delightful knit stitches! The garter lace makes for an interesting texture and will look so pretty after blocking.

You can customize the width of the shawl too, needed stitch multiple is included in the pattern.

Skill level
If you know how to knit and purl, you can knit this scarf!

Yarn
If you have two or three skeins of handdyed yarn, or perhaps a Scheepjes Whirl, this is the perfect pattern for it. The pattern is easy customizable, you can knit until the length specified in the pattern or you can knit until you use up your yarn.

Needles / Gauge
I knit this shawl on 3.5mm needles. The goal is to get a fabric that is nice and drapey.

Size
If you follow the pattern as it is written, your finished scarf will be approx. 134cm/53” long and 43cm/17” wide. I’ve included instructions on how to make the scarf wider/narrower and longer/shorter.
