The “Alpine Haze Shawl” was inspired mountain ranges clouded by fog. I’ve included the original image that inspired me in the gallery on the left. The fuzziness of the mohair corresponds beautifully with the obscured shapes, and I’ve recreated the ombré effect of the mountains with some clever colour swapping.

Meet the Alpine Haze shawl, a feather light wrap made out of mohair yarn. It may be thin, but it will still cover you with a welcome layer of warmth. A beautiful shawl to gift! Knit on 4 mm needles, it is a fairly quick knit. The simple lace pattern is easy to remember, which makes for a perfect TV-knitting project.

I knit this shawl with 4 colours of Scheepjes Mohair Rhythm (25 grams per ball) but the entire shawl needs only about 50-52 grams of yarn. This means you could also choose to knit it in just 2 or 3 colours for an even more affordable knit. I used the colours: Smooth (672), Twist (675), Lindy (679) and Charleston (677).
