Hallo allemaal! Mijn week van de Scheepjes CAL 2016 is voorbijgevlogen, en ik vond het zo leuk! Ontzettend veel leuke en lieve reacties op mijn ontworpen vierkantje, bedankt!! Ik had verwacht dat sommigen het een wat te simpel vierkantje vonden, maar het werd juist heel enthousiast ontvangen door iedereen. Degenen die er al ervaring mee hadden vonden het leuk dat deze steek in de deken werd verwerkt, en degenen die er nog niet meer hadden gewerkt vonden het leuk deze steek eens te proberen. En laten we nou eerlijk zijn, de c2c-steek is ook een hele leuke steek om te leren! 

Hi everyone! My week of the Scheepjes CAL 2016 has come and gone, and I absolutely loved it! There were so many of you saying such lovely things about the square I designed, thank you all! I had expected people to say it was such a simple design, but instead it was welcomed very warmly. Those who had worked with it before were excited to see it was incorporated in the blanket, and those who hadn’t tried it were excited to finally give it a shot and see what all the fuss was about. And let’s be honest, the c2c-stitch is a very fun technique to learn!

Het leukst vond ik toch wel om ieder zijn vierkantje voorbij te zien komen op Instagram en de Facebookpagina’s. Er waren ook heel wat creatievelingen aan de slag gegaan met verschillende motiefjes in het vierkantje. Ik heb een hartje gezien, hondenpootjes, regenbogen en zelfs een zeepaardje!

I had the most fun seeing all the beautiful squares in my Facebook or Instagram feed. I was glad to see some had taken the plunge and designed a colour motif! I’ve seen a heart, dog paw prints, rainbows and even a seahorse!

Het vierkantje van deze week is ontworpen door Maria van 50 Shades of 4-Ply. Ze woont in Engeland, haakt linkshandig en heeft in het verleden heel wat mooie bolletjes garen zelf geverfd! Ik heb haar nu twee keer ontmoet, beide keren bij de Scheepjes Bloggersdag. Ik moet altijd erg met haar lachen!

This weeks square is designed by Maria from 50 Shades of 4-Ply (don’t you just love that name!). She lives in Northumberland, England, is left-handed, and has dyed some amazing yarns in the past! I’ve met her twice, both times at Scheepjes Blogger days. I love talking to her, she makes me laugh all the time!
