The Colourwork Sampler Blanket is made up out of 80 squares knit in back-and-forth stranded colourwork. The perfect design to show off your colourwork skills!
Yarn
The sample is knit with the Scheepjes Metropolis yarn colourpack – 80 colours x 10 grams
Alternatively you can use fullsize balls of Scheepjes Metropolis or any other similar weight sock yarn, You will need approx. 800 grams.
In addition to the colour pack, you will need 60 grams of similar weight yarn for the blanket border.
Needles/Gauge
I recommend using 3mm or 3.5mm needles. If you are using the same yarn as me, and if you don’t run out of yarn when knitting a set of 2 squares, you’re good to go. If you do want to check your gauge, the sample gauge is:
31 sts and 30 rows of stockinette colourwork measures 10 x 10 cm / 4x4in.
Blanket size
The blanket consists of 80 squares which are each 14x14cm. If you have a blanket layout of 8 x 10 squares, it will be 112 x 140cm (44”x 55”). If you have more yarn, you can add more squares for a larger blanket. The border pattern included in the PDF will add another 2cm/0.8inch to each side of the blanket.
