Scheepjes YARN Bookazine has a new issue out: The Colour Issue! It’s the 10th issue of Yarn Bookazine which means it’s time for celebration! This issue celebrates all colours of the rainbow, and as you flick through it you’ll see the rainbow colours popping up everywhere which is very satisfying!
The Colour Issue features 16 knitting and crochet patterns. Each of the designs has a ton-sur-ton colour scheme which is absolutely beautiful! I was lucky enough to contribute two designs to this issue, let me introduce them to you!
These Red Panda Socks are an adorable addition to anyone’s wardrobe! To be fair, I’ve designed them especially for kids but it wouldn’t take much customization to scale them up to adult sizes.
I’ve knit them with Scheepjes Metropolis yarn, which you will know is one of my fave yarns! Soft merino, sturdy nylon, and a myriad of colours make this yarn a musthave for your stash. The duplicate stitching requires some attention, but is so satisfying as the cute red pandas will bring a huge smile to the recipients face!
My second design for the Colour Issue of Scheepjes YARN Bookazine is this cute lil crochet polar bear ‘Chilly Billy‘. Made out of Scheepjes Furry Tales and Catona, he is a joy to work up and to cuddle! His dungarees are removable and you can customize it however you like to give him a wardrobe of your choice.
And now for some of my favourite designs from the issue! The Frozen Rose Shawl is a spectacular design by Nerissa from MissNeriss, and will make a gorgeous gift for anyone – or yourself!
This shawl uses Scheepjes Whirl Ombré, a lovely and soft yarn with a stunning colour gradient. Nerissa’s design features crochet lace which will have you hooked from start to finish as you want to finish row after row of lacework flowers.
Who doesn’t love a good cable! This is the Twisted Roots Scarf by knitwear designer Tammy from Canadutch. Designed in Scheepjes Our Tribe, the variegated yarn makes it easy to match with a whole range of outfits! I especially love that the cable is also textured, which must be very entertaining to knit.
