When was there ever a knitter or crocheter who had enough yarn? Yeah, I thought so. I’m no different, so I just keep buying more and more yarn! This was the first time I ordered yarn online. I find it so hard to judge whether to buy it or not, unless I have seen the exact same yarn in the stores. Usually it’s the dazzling colour that attracts me to the yarn, or the soft feel of it. How can you be sure of the colours from just a few pictures, let alone feel whether it’s the texture you want. But I was pretty pleased with this parcel from BettaKnit! They have a wonderful range of yarns and I can’t wait to try them all. There was a sale going on when I bought them so I got them for a really low price! [Just checked and the reduced prices still apply! Check the yarns out here.] Aren’t they gorgeous? I bought 9 skeins of Gossypium and one skein of their unbleached wool. I love how environmentally friendly BettaKnit’s yarns are. The yarns are made with a pollution-free production process, while still having very high quality.
This is their Gossypium yarn, which is available in 10 lovely colours. I chose Lilac, Sand and White for my next project (I’ll tell you later!). It’s a yarn made of cotton, so it’s perfect for summerknits.
This is the unbleached wool. The skein was smaller than I expected, but it is wound up pretty tight, so I guess that produces a smaller ball. Any ideas what to make with this?
