Finally: the next post about the Dawanda Designweek! As you might know, there was also a DIY table at the event.
We embellished a gift tag with some fun cross-stitching! We could choose from 3 different patterns: a bow, a Christmas tree and a snowflake.
The hostess of the DIY was Emm in France, who wore this adorable cross stitch- Fox sweater! Check out her embroidered rings and brooches in her shop.
After this fun break we continued browsing the shops, which were actually transformed hotel rooms. The first room was filled with pretty jewelry by Sischima. I especially like the earrings with roses!
Look at these cute necklaces by Creaceline! There was a really bright lamp in the room so my pictures came out a bit funky, but you get the picture: cute miniature stuff made with clay! She also sells material and much more stuff on Dawanda.
LVDK. stands for Lauren van der Kolk, who is the designer of this brand. She had really cute photoframes with funny quotes and miniature people inside. But that wasn’t even the most amazing thing in her shop, she makes beautiful leather bags by hand! Aside from that, there were also some really artistic paintings, made with a sewing machine! Sadly, I forgot to take pictures of those items, so make sure to pay her website or Dawanda shop a visit! Those bags… totally droolworthy!
Charlotte from Atelier Charlotte Auzou makes beautifully elegant envelope purses. They were all so perfect, lying there on that hotel bed, that I didn’t dare to pick one up, haha. She also makes knit hats and other garments! What I especially loved about her shop was that there were balloons all over the floor! I think it’s a really creative idea to make your shop more inviting to customers.
The designer of Anna Treurniet (Anna Don’t be sad) turned old cross-stitch works into new fabulous items, like bags and ornaments! How creative is that? She also had beautiful collars 🙂
Earlier I told you about my new headband and earrings, now I can finally show you pictures of my last treasure! I found this cute pouch in the shop called puntje. (which means ‘dot’). The designer Sonja Peters makes purses, bags and other pouches from the cutest fabric. Don’t you just love these elephants? The pouch I bought is to put handkerchiefs in. It’s not what you might call a necessary thing to have, but it sure makes the inside of my bag look prettier! I never liked the plastic wrapping paper handkerchiefs come in, now I can put them in this pretty little sleeve. She even wrapped it in a Christmassy way 🙂 You can find many more cute stuff in her shop over here.
There was even a dot in the business card! I love it when someone thinks about details.
Dat was het weer voor deze keer! (Hey dat rijmt, misschien omdat ik al in de Sinterklaas-gedichten sfeer kom?) Ik heb nog genoeg foto’s voor 1 of 2 delen, dus wordt nog vervolgd! Nu eerst weer even fijn breien aan mijn We Are Knitters colsjaal, heerlijk! Alvast een fijn weekend!
That’s it for this time! I still have enough pictures for maybe 1 or 2 parts, there were so many shops I feel bad if I don’t mention every one I made pictures of. Now it’s time for some more knitting! Yay ^^ Have a great weekend everyone!
