Fancy Fair Isle Socks
Let me introduce my newest pattern to you! These are the Fancy Fair Isle Socks, and the pattern is now available in my pattern shops in English and Dutch.
This pattern was originally published in the Sock Knitting Bible, authored by Lynne Rowe in 2021. She asked me whether I wanted to contribute a design, and so I did! I was so pleased when my sock design made the cover, it’s so exciting.
Because some time has passed, I am now allowed to publish the design on my own! You can find it in my pattern shops linked to the buttons below.
Construction
The Fancy Fair Isle Socks are knit from the toe up, with gussets alongside the foot and a German shortrow heel with heelflap. I find this type of heel to be the most comfortable and the extra space allowed by the gussets also make the colourwork pattern look good.
Yarn
You will need four colours of Scheepjes Metropolis to recreate the sample. The original sample uses the following colours:
A- Milan 057, B – Dubai 047, C – Marrakech 051, D – Sydney 048
