Het is tijd om jullie wat foto’s te laten zien van mijn work-in-progress! Het is al een week geleden sinds ik mijn heerlijke nieuwe garens ontving, en ik ben al een heel eind verder met mijn project! Het wordt een mooie zachte trui in ribbelsteek, mmm…
It’s time to show you some pictures of my work in progress! It’s been a week since I received those delicious Stonewashed XL yarns, and I’ve been knitting up a storm! I’m making a supersoft sweater in good old garter stitch. Nu kunnen jullie ook zien wat ik met het Invicta Colour garen heb gedaan! Ik had het idee om strepen te maken in de trui, maar dan nét iets anders dan anders. Dus nam ik het Invicta garen, dat superdun is, en breide dat met het Stonewashed XL mee om de strepen te maken. Zo worden ze heel subtiel! Vooral met het kleurverloop vind ik het een heel mooi effect.
Now you can also see what I’ve done with the Invicta Colour yarn! I wanted to make a striped sweater, but with a little twist. The Invicta yarn is very thin, so I knit it together with the Stonewashed XL yarn to make the stripes. A very subtle effect! Especially pretty because of the colour changes I think. Het voor- en achterpand is al klaar en aan elkaar genaaid, ik ben erg tevreden over hoe dat is gegaan!
The back and front of the sweater is all done and sewed together. I’m very pleased with the seams! Nu nog de mouwen en de nek wat afwerken. Volgende week hoop ik hem af te hebben, zo kan ik hem ook nog dragen in dit gure weer!
All that’s left are the sleeves and the neck. I hope to have finished it next week! The weather is still very chilly here, so I might still get to wear it!
