Look what I found!

This week I finally cleaned up my room and my yarn stash.. It’s one of those things I never like to do. And whenever I do, I find things like old magazines and get really caught up in them and forget all about the cleaning up part. Oh well! But this week I actually managed to clean up the room a bit. While I was rummaging through my yarn stash, I found this old, almost vintage Scheepjeswol yarn wrapper! I think I got the yarn, called ‘Soedan’, came in a big box from my great aunt. I’m keeping this label for sure!IMG_5319

And.. I found my very first pair of sunglasses! Look how cute it is! I recognize it from my many baby pictures, but I had no idea we had kept it.

I bought this cotton yarn in Spain last year, when I was visiting my boyfriend who worked around Madrid at that time. I found them in a basket, totally forgotten about, still wound as skeins. I immediately caked them so I can start working with them! I’m thinking about making a nice cotton top, but I’m not sure if the cotton is soft enough..
I stored my yarn in see-through boxes this time and find it really helpful when I’m looking for a specific yarn! How do you store your stash?

It is always fun to find things you forgot about but really LOVED or means a lot to you! I store my yarn in tubs, but separated by colors and yarn types such as DK blacks n browns or regular reds and pinks, usually or 3 colors that work together! Also store some in see through storage bags the same way!

Liefs Chantal
